Source: On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwanThis one did not make the cut for the collection. I thought it just didn't have as much punch as the others and was perhaps redundant. However, I do think it has some interesting parts.

I really enjoy it. I'm a little sad it didn't make it into the book. I like the larger phrases, the disconnected places, the sort of melancholy voice.
I had a heck of a time spelling "melancholy" just now. I thought it was "melonchaly" for some reason.
